Nokia's Revival Continues - Samsung's Former Head Honcho Arrives On Board


It seems like Nokia is on the verge of an epic comeback to the smartphone market. Gregory Lee has been appointed President of Nokia. He has previously lead Samsung for a period of 13 years and has a diverse experience with the smartphone market with various product executions under his name.

Gregory brings with him a wealth of experience dealing with the mobile consumer market as well as working at Johnson & Johnson and Proctor & Gamble etc. Nokia released a statement which is given below:
"We have chosen the right leader to take Nokia Technologies forward at a time of renewed excitement about the Nokia brand around the world," said Rajeev Suri, President and Chief Executive Officer of Nokia. "Gregory's passion for innovation and operational excellence, along with his proven ability to build and lead global consumer technology businesses, make him well suited to advance Nokia's efforts in virtual reality, digital health and beyond."
Gregory Lee will report directly to Rajeev Suri, who is the current CEO of Nokia. The Nokia leadership group currently consists of following members: Rajeev Suri (Chairman), Basil Alwan, Hans-Juergen Bill, Kathrin Buvac, Ashish Chowdhary, Barry French, Bhaskar Gorti, Federico Guillén, Gregory Lee, Igor Leprince, Monika Maurer, Kristian Pullola, Marc Rouanne, Maria Varsellona and Marcus Weldon.
