Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Specifications and Overview

Released in March, 2015.

The S6 Edge is powered by powerful Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 processors which in combination provide a exemplary levels of performance. Even with one of the processors working, high levels of performance can be obtained easily. Most demanding apps will run easily and every day use will be swift and fast.

Design and Outlook

The S6 Edge is much more pricier than it’s sibling only for the fact that is has a curved screen which yet again depends on the taste of the user. But the screen is no ordinary one, It’s screen is Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, (16M colors) which has a 1440 x 2560 pixels (~577 ppi pixel density) resolution which is more than most phones of today’s era and I believe you can imagine the gaming experience of apps such as N.O.V.A. The phone has a curved display with metal bezels on the side and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 plates at the back which give an overall good feel.

Camera Experience

This phone equips a 5 megapixel back camera and a 16 megapixel front camera giving high quality photos as well as awesome selfies.

Battery Life

This phone has a Li-Ion 2600 mAh battery which should provide adequate support for most tasks to keep it running the whole day easily.

The S6 Edge was initially available on market for about 814 USD(32 GB verison) which is adequate for a flagship phone. But if you put it on comparison with it’s sibling the S6, it’s about more than 70 USD. Aside from the curved screen, both the phones are mostly similar which kinda makes it a lot more expensive. But then again, it depends on the taste of the user.

The Samsung S6 Edge is a great phablet and an exceptional companion.
