Everything We Know About The Samsung Galaxy Note 8


We are less than a week away from the official announcement of Samsung Galaxy Note 8. So it's about time we put together a piece regarding everything we know so far regarding the upcoming flagship from Samsung.

CPU - GPU - RAM

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is expected to be powered by Exynos 8895 Octa Core System On Chip whose benchmarks were leaked earlier. The lower core clock rests at 1.6GHz whereas it would be around 2.4GHz at the higher end. An alternative to this would be Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 which is built on 10nm Kryo CPU core which significantly improves performance and battery life whereas the graphical processing is assigned to Adreno 540. Pair all this with 6GB of RAM.

Design and Outlook

Expected color options: Midnight Black, Maple Gold, Orchid Grey, Deep Sea Blue

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will have a bigger display than its predecessors. Infinity Display will be borrowed from S8 whereas the screen size will be bumped up to 6.3 inches with a weird aspect ratio of 18.5:9. Expected screen resolution is 1440 by 2940 pixels which will amount to a 522ppi pixel density.

In addition, you also have IP68 certification. Lowest priced variant will have 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card.

Camera

As can be seen from the picture above, a dual camera setup will be opted for with an expected resolution of 12MP paired with Dual Tone flash and optical zoom capabilities. The front camera is expected to have a resolution of 8MP with auto HDR.

Battery 

A non-removable Li-ion 3300 mAh is expected to power the upcoming flagship.

Pricing

The phone is expected to retail around $1100 as per recent leaks and rumors.
