Win A Smartwatch - Vector Announces "Build Your Own Stream" Competition For Developers

Vector, the London based technology company known for developing the 30 day battery life smartwatch, announces an interactive stream building contest. After the watch face competition organised in the beginning of the year, the stream challenge marks the opening of the Vector platform for developers, a step towards building a strong and powerful tech community.

Contestants can submit their applications at developer.vectorwatch.com/platform/ by October 16th, 23:59 (London, UK time).

A Vector Stream is a glanceable information available online, a communication tool suited both for businesses as well as end customers. It can display various pieces of information such as your daily sales on your online store, or live score streams of your favorite football teams. Currently, any user or third party can use Vector's developer platform to build their own watch faces and information streams, taking Vector’s customizable level to the next level.
Bogdan Ripa, Product Director Vector Watch added:
“Vector is about connectivity and simplifying the experience of using wearables. By opening our platform, Vector becomes highly customizable, both for private customers as well as companies. Our aim is to develop a powerful and yet highly adaptable Vector platform dedicated to the wearables tech industry."
The streams submitted to the competition will be judged by a board of three international journalists and specialists in user experience and design: Mike Butcher (Editor at large at TechCrunch), James Stable (Executive Editor at Wareable) and Ultan O’Broin (User Cloud Experience Strategic Enablement at Oracle). The best streams will be awarded Vector smartwatches (Luna and Meridian) and will be automatically published in Vector’s international App Store.

The contest is available worldwide for all developers with medium knowledge of JavaScript / Node.js and the winning contestants will be announced on October 24, 2016. Presently, the available streams include time zones, calories counters, stock markets key information, calendar events and social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

Press Release by Vector Watch, a company dealing with the manufacturing of wearable devices and having over $12 Million seed funding in three separate rounds.
