Lumia 435 Specifications and Overview

Released in January 2015 as part of Microsoft’s strategy to strike at the base of Budget level smartphones.

Performance

Powered by a Dual Core Qualcomm MSM8210 Snapdragon 200 with Adreno 302 GPU and 1 GB RAM, this phone is belongs at the bottom level category of smartphones but is able to provide excellent levels of performance considering the pricing ($99).

Design and Outlook

Pairing a 4 inches screen with 480 x 800 pixels resolution (~233 ppi pixel density) and a polycarbonate finish, The phone is pleasant to hold and provides a good bright, vibrant display. It has 8GB internal storage expandable up to 128GB via SD card.
Note: This phone doesn’t support 4G/LTE

Camera

It has a 2 Megapixel rear camera and a VGA front camera, they would provide low quality and lesser detailed photos but then again, considering the pricing it is sufficient for a below budget smartphone.

Battery Life

This phone can provide a talk time of Up to 21 h (2G) / Up to 11 h 45 min (3G) which is sufficient for today’s use and everyday tasks. The phone has a 1560 mAh battery Li-ion battery.

Value

Priced around 70-100 USD at the time of launch, this phone has a great price to performance ratio since no other manufacturer has been come up with such specs and reliability all in the same package.

Verdict

For those who want a smartphone and are on a low budget, this is the most ideal phone for them. It has almost everything that a budget smartphone should plus a record breaking price. To date, this was the cheapest Lumia phone from Microsoft.
